Pre-Season Monsoon Outlook

With the monsoon season approaching, we should look at what is ahead. With all the rain and storms we had so far this year, we have had a lot of activity. Towards the start of the year we have had an active El Niño. Currently, we are at a neutral stage. By May June July, we are expecting to see our neutral status go down and have a rise in a El Niña system. By July, August, September, we should see a mostly active El Niña.

Current Predictions

For our 2024 monsoon season, we should expect a normal season during the beginning. Towards the end of the season we should expect dryer conditions. Overall we may see less then our overall monsoon rainfall of 1″ or less. Overtime, these predictions may change as time goes on. We will not see our final predictions until the start of the monsoon season.

Overall we are still unsure of this monsoon season for the Lake Havasu City area. We will continue to observe the season and give predictions as observed.
